FLAT C Alumni group meets every Thursday from 5:30pm – 6:30pm
“I wanted to reach out to you and the rest of the FLATC crew to say “THANK YOU SO MUCH”. Every single day you all selflessly dedicate your own lives to saving so many others, and thank God, I was certainly no exception. You, Scott, Sean, David L., Dr. Sanchez, and the entire FLATC team were the driving force behind getting my recovery off to a perfect start. I’m sincerely confident that I won’t drift off the path this time, as I regretfully did back in August. I felt this past experience was entirely different and refreshingly improved, focused, and customized to my specific needs.
I know my words are doing no justice to the extreme level of gratitude I have for the entire staff but I hope you all understand how blessed and fortunate I feel to have had the opportunity to experience the “jump start” of my intended permanent recovery with EVERYONE at FLATC.
Please feel free to pass this message on to anyone who may be interested in reading it. I also intend to keep in touch as well as commit myself to attending one of your upcoming alumni events so I can help spread the message of strength and hope to those just coming in.
Once again, thank you all so very much for your professional support and service. I look forward to seeing you all soon and pray for your continued health, happiness, and success.” — Sober regards, FLATC patient (March 2015)
“Dr. Sanchez, I can’t put in words how grateful I am to FLATC for the ways that your staff has helped me. I now have a full grasp on the fact that everything happens for a reason. When my insurance called and gave me Lumiere and here, I didn’t second guess it. I knew these were gonna be the places that would help me. You helped me to put the pieces of me back together. I’m not the shell of a person that I was when I got here. You guys helped me get that light in my eyes to turn back on. And it’s been an incredible experience to be here so long and be able to see the light in other people’s eyes turn back on. Thank you for everything, especially for having such an incredibly caring staff.” — A grateful addict (July 2014)
“I left rehab January 3rd this year. I am proud to report that I picked up my 6 month chip this last week. I am so proud that I have been able to accomplish success in sobriety. Things have been going extremely well and as I have been working through the steps, the promises have been coming true. “We will know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.” I have been so happy and didn’t know this kind of happiness existed.” — Former FLATC patient (May 2014)
I just want to thank all of the staff at FLATC. For most of my years I drank and used everyday to numb any pain or problem that had occurred in my life. I found it to be the easiest way to deal with my issues, just to wake up to find those issues were still there and to drink and use again. One day I woke up and saw this number (knowing I had a problem) and thought I would call to see what kind of information I could get. From the very first hello, I felt scared and unsure to move on with my life in a different way. I had missed so many events with my family and children due to my addiction (sports events, school plays, family dinners and so so much more). But some kind of higher power got me to go and within three days I was in Florida for the first time. FLATC is an unbelievable place, I will say it’s not an easy process but they made it more comfortable than you can imagine. There where times I wanted to leave and go home(2) but with their staff and experience they have available, really show you the importance in life and what is possible if you walk a straight line and finish. I firmly believe FLATC is a place that is there to help others get better, not just a business to make money. Today is my 84th day, it hasn’t been a easy road but FLATC and all of their staff will give you the tools to succeed in your recovery if you want it. It had been a long time since I finished anything anything in my life due to my addiction, but they taught me one of the most important things there is…… taking suggestions. Again, Thank you all at FLATC , you gave me the tools and helped me to wake up every morning sober, ability to think clearer and most of all my family. — Former FLATC patient (April 2014)
“I get up every morning in a good mood now..and nothing can ruin it – I can deal with whatever comes my way. Used to get up in a terrible mood every day..and wait for something good to happen. It never did..Now it does. Rarely have we seen a person fail… good words. Thank you again..”
— Former FLATC patient (February 2014)
“I am writing you to thank you for the program you have put together there at FLATC. I have been out of the program a little over a month and have had a lot of time to reflect on my time there. I am extremely grateful for the therapists (especially Jess), the techs (especially Van and Shaun), and for the administrative staff. I have never been so blessed in my life as I was at your facility. You helped me lay the ground work and get some clarity back that was so necessary for decision making in recovery. I especially want to thank you for introducing and supporting the AA and NA programs, both of which I am attending regularly and have taken service positions in (positions they would allow for my length of sobriety). FLATC may very well have saved my life through this introduction and I can never repay that. Thank you so much for lifting the burdens and stresses of life long enough that I can find my feet on solid ground. I am 96 days sober today and am continuing to work through the steps with a sponsor. This sponsor was no coincidence. “Nothing happens in God’s world by mistake.”
“Anyways, I am proud to report that thus far, FLATC can add to its’ success rate and I am proud to be a “graduate” (though we never really graduate) of that facility.
Thanks again Dr. S.” — Former FLATC patient (February 2014)
“Dr. Sanchez, Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I just wanted to let you know that things are going great. I made it thru the holidays without drinking, and I did not want to drink. It has been 96 days without taking a drink. I am going to 4-5 meetings per week, and I have a sponsor that I am working with. We are working on the steps and also the big book. I just want to thank you and your staff for everything they did for me. You and your staff save my life, I could not have done it without you and the staff. Work is going well, I am getting back into it. But I will never forget the help I receive from FLATC. Thank you again. It does work if you work it.” — Former FLATC patient (February 2014)
“Hey Doc, I celebrated my 1 year anniversary yesterday. My life is amazing today and gets better and better everyday. Just wanted to let you know that you played a huge part in my recovery. Thank you.” — Former FLATC patient (December 2013)
